Erica Lennard

Erica Lennard is considered by many to be the preeminent photographer of gardens working today. In her twenty years of exploration into the beauty of Nature,both divinely inspired and designed by man, Lennard has photographed the majestic formal gardens of Europe,the zen gardens of Japan, and the moghul Gardens of India. Her classical compositions give us a world of pure form captured in the velvet blacks and luminous whites that are central to her vision.
This show will be the first Los Angeles showing of her "Classic Gardens" series as well as her "Haiku " series, both previously shown in New York and Paris.
Her many books include "American Writers at Home"(Vendome Library of Americas 2004") "The Secret Gardens of Hollywood "(Universe 2003),"The Art of Doing Nothing" and the "Art of Imperfection" (Clarkson Potter) and the monograph "Classic Gardens"(Lustrum Press)
Her work is currently also on show in an important touring museum exhibition on Contemporary Photography and the garden,
